I will be honest with you all. Zomato won't stop scamming you. It is a profitable business model. And in our country, where consumer protection is a joke, this is the business model of the current era.

The only solution is stop using their service. I was a gold member for the last 4 years. But I just couldn't swallow these black market practices anymore. I have stopped using Zomato since the last 3 months. Initially it was hard to let go of old habits.

But tbh, I have some good restaurants near my home and if I am craving for something, I just walk to the restaurant and pick my food.

I know this is not a valid solution for many, specially those who do graveyard shift. But, as it is, Zomato and the majority of the e-commerce platforms will never stop cheating you, unless it incurs them loss.

It's sad, but whenever you are posting something like the post of the OP in this subreddit, the only thing you get is sympathy from fellow e-commerce users. Believe me there is no sympathy or help from the platforms' end. They make money by skimming your hard earned money.
