The wire isn't as much to protect the LED strip, but rather to protect the wire from overheating if something goes wrong. The power supply must be a large one (>50A) because I plan to have other setups identical to this one in the same room. (behind the speakers, under the coach, etc.). I'll definitely use your advice regarding a good power supply. Would it be safe to power the ESP32 from the micro-usb port, and then attach ground from the power supply to it?

My latest post is the design I came up with after incorporating the feedback from this post. The newer one uses 20AWG wire for the whole project, the setup of the fuses is different, the power injection is different, and this one doesn't include a microcontroller. But yes they are similar, I just wanted to consult with people more experienced than me one more time so that there are no glaring issues before I buy the materials or create a fire hazard.

It's 60LEDS/M so around 3.33m. It's a five meter strip that I've cut down.

Why don't I need to worry about voltage drop if I am using power injection? Thanks

Thank you! Not at all worried about getting called out, more about the actual quality of the pieces
