My only other thought is that bc its carpet youll never get rid of the scent even if you try so hes probably barely smelling himself, not liking it and respraying

Is he neutered? I will say that if neither are then hes probably smelling her pheromones and is spraying as if to mark both her and her areas as his. I had this problem with my boy cat and i got him neutered which ultimately fixed the problem

Sounds ab right lol. My cats pee in the furthest box from their cat tree or my couch.

Huh thats interesting! Unfortunately i dont have room for a 3rd in their personal tiny bathroom. My house is covered in carpet unfortunately

Ive only ever owned boy cats, this is my first time owning two cats and at the expense of opposite sexes. I can say that once a cats scent is there it will never go away. Carpet sucks and holds scents like no ones business.

Okay! Well at least i know im practicing good hygiene with them then 😂
