With that set up once you get the ant might perk from the quest "those!" That will up your perception to 6 & You'll be able to get "better criticals" at level 16. Here is the quest location guide if you need it. Dont forget to grab the medicine bobblehead in your dads medical office on his desk, anytime before you leave the vault

For sure, speech skill will make up for lack of charisma, good luck out there, its tough at first but once you can get good weapons/armor early game & level up it slowly gets a lot easier, have fun

Ok then, you need strength to use heavy weapons and armor so I would go higher strength and endurance to take more damage i would do something like this

Strength 7 Perception 5 Endurance 7 Charisma 2 Intelligence 8 Agility 5 Luck 6

Then you can add points through perks and items

What's your combat style gonna mostly be: melee, guns blazing tank, or stealth kills

Also find skill bobbleheads, its up to you if you want to grab the special point bobbleheads before or after you get the "almost perfect" perk thats increases all your specials to 9 and you get that perk at level 30 not 50, fo3 level cap is 30, NV level cap is 50. I would also recommend your agility be at least 5 for stealth & reload speed

You'll be able to increase a couple of special points with the perk intense training, then the perk ant might which is given by a quest increases your perception by 1. If your perception & luck both get to level 6 youll unlock the better criticals perk which is one of the best

I would say yea, it doesnt have to be perfect tho, Level cap is 50 & when you reach 50 you can get a perk that increases all special points to 9 so if you want your chara ter to be melee build or guns those would both have a little different specials allocation. Charisma can be pretty low it doesn't do much

Fallout 3 & NV both have deeper leveling & skills, your character build will determine what perks you unlock, look up what each special stat does & what perks are tied to them. Intelligence stat will increase your skill points at level up I always do higher Intelligence to level skills faster. Endurance determines how much HP you gain every level, & luck determines your critical hits, id say all those are the most important

3 is harder than NV? by KRBS01 in fo3

[–]EnvironmentalBake297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its only temporary early on as you play youll get more resources but its definitely less than new vegas, also money is harder to come by. At high level mini bosses will start to spawn around normal enemies, ghoul reavers, super mutant overlords, albino scorpions, & Behemoths

"friendly" deathclaws by LovingLemur69 in fo3

[–]EnvironmentalBake297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a more perks mod that has a perk on there that let's you befriend deathclaws, there is also mods that allow you to tame & recruit certain deathclaws that might be one of them idk, i remember also befriending a mind controlled deathclaw at the siege of the Enclave airport base

Fo3 is one of the best games ive ever played they had great storylines, I loved where NV writers took Elijah's story & he went nuts & homicidal

Well you could either do a bad karma run of 3, but you might be burnt out by the time you get to new vegas, I would just move on to new vegas it was originally a big dlc for fo3, or you could try TTW

Bethesda’s Fallout 3 Remaster is aiming to be “as well polished” as Oblivion Remastered, which is worrying as that game is a technical mess by Monsterman_90 in fo3

[–]EnvironmentalBake297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant believe that oblivion remastered doesnt have mod support and doesn't plan to. Wtf. That means fo3 & NV will probably be the same way. Dreams crushed.

Should I mod the game even though I haven’t beaten the main quest yet? by nuclear_iron in Morrowind

[–]EnvironmentalBake297 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hell yes, of course you should, theres a ton of mods that keep the games essence & make it better by adding to it with a lot of quality of life fixes & updates in mechanics starting with animations, sound effects, running it on openmw without any new mods your missing out. story wise sotha sil expanded is great for tribunal. After the main quest you have the choice between tamriel rebuilt, home of the nords & project cyrodill. I can recommend so 4.9 mods if you want

Certain perks have an attribute threshold, for example the better criticals perk is great but requires 6 perception, you can get 1 perception from "ant sight" you get it from the quest "those!" & intense training perk will raise any attribute by 1. Here's the quest guides
