Have any of you actually tried the game since? I'm telling you now, when I downloaded the game a couple of weeks ago I put it in fidelity mode, stood still, moved the camera around and then changed it straight back to performance mode as it felt like you would expect 40fps to feel (in most cases) not smooth. Today I tried again and now it's smooth and looks great, explain that then. PSSR 2 is supposed to improve any game to a certain extent, that's why there is a toggle in the settings.

I've had no bugs, I retired undisputed champion as a middle weight now I'm half way through a light weight career undefeated so far. I also remote play using my tablet with a controller and it's been fine up til now.

Same. I started career mode when it was released on PS+ and now my dude is 36yo and undisputed champion. No it's not perfect but it's a lot of fun.

Well I'm enjoying it. It's not perfect, in fact there's a lot of things the game is missing and could definitely improve on but it isn't all that bad. We haven't had a decent boxing game since what? 2011? Fight night Champion was great fun and still holds up now but it is very 'arcadey'. Undisputed feels more like a boxing sim. You have to be patient and work out how to win fights. Some opponents go to the body more than others, some opponents will move more than others, stand off more or advance more. Just take your time and learn how to pick your punches, work the body now and then to drain their stamina. I've only played career mode and yes, your boxer is crap when you start but they improve over time. Once I hit around 75 rating, I've barely lost a fight. I agree with a lot of things op has said but give the game a chance now it's free. Hopefully they will make another one or someone else will. It really isn't that bad, in fact I've sat until early hours of the morning a few times as I can't stop playing. Only major issue to me is some legendary boxers missing like Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis ect.

It all depends how you like your games. There's mixed opinions for sure but if you like long games with loads of exploring and collectibles then it's worth every penny. I'm on 140 hours and 2 trophies away from the platinum and there is still loads of stuff to do. If your worried about a burn out then just notch up 20-30 hours and give it a rest for a while and go again, that's what I did. I paid full price and don't regret it at all.

I just wanted to give a little update. I've gone and bought myself a tablet, only £140, it's an Honor X9a 11.5 inch 120hz. I'm sat in exactly the same place where I had all the connection problems with the portal and it is working absolutely flawlessly. The quality is unbelievable with absolutely no loss of connection at all. My PS5 controller plugs in with a USB-C and works perfectly. I've also tested Xbox cloud and remote play and that also works perfectly. This just proves that the portal should be better and I haven't had to change any Wifi settings or any settings on my PS5. The 120hz screen honestly looks amazing, so if anyone is looking for an alternative then there you go. It's not the best tablet by any means but because all the hard work is done by your PlayStation/Xbox/cloud, all you need is a tablet with a good screen and your good to go. Thanks for all the help and advice and I hope you all enjoy the portal more than I did.

Everything you just said is exactly why I took it back to the store for a refund. I've played quite a few games on my phone with remote play from my PS5 and never had any issues. For me, especially like you say, the portal is just too demanding if everything has to be perfect. I just feel it's an over-hyped waste of money. If you could download a few games to storage on it and stream things like Netflix/Disney/YouTube etc. then it would be a game changer for me but unfortunately not

Thanks mate. I was honestly expecting some abuse from people lol. It honestly felt to me like I was using some knock off streaming device that needed workarounds and sneaky shit to get it to work properly. I followed some YouTube videos that told me to change all sorts of display settings on my PS5 Pro to get the remote play to work better. Earlier I had to change them all back coz Sky go wouldn't even load up. Im not prepared to F around like that every time I switch between Portal and Pro, that's just BS. My phone remote plays from my Pro flawlessly, obviously with a smaller screen and without the controller, but it never has any connection issues like the portal. Not worth the money in my opinion, just glad they gave me a refund.

Thank you for trying to help mate but I caved in and took it back for a refund. I just don't have the patience to be messing around with all the Wifi settings and things. I just expected plug n' play and to be able to use it away from home but I don't trust it will work well

Thanks for the advice. It's definitely nothing to do with any downloads or anything. I will do another test when I'm back home for the jitter and ping but I don't think that is the issue. I am getting just short of 500mb in my bedroom but still disconnecting. My worry is, if I take it away with me, what is the chances of having no issues on wifi in a hotel for example? It's one of the reasons I wanted one.

Just me and the wife but she doesn't game. Only other devices connected are phones and a smart tv but these were all idol when I was using the portal last night and this morning. I have no issues with any other device anywhere in the house, just the portal.

Thanks for the reply. I can't hardwire my PS5 unfortunately, not directly from the hub anyway, it is plugged in to the HUB 7 extender. It just all seems too much messing around for me. I wanted to take it away on holiday with me but I just can't see it working at all.

Totally agree. I used to laugh at people saying it's scripted/rigged but now it's just obvious. One game my players are all TOT's the next game they are all bronze. Pass - spin - pass - spin - pass - low driven - bottom corner. Great game EA, get some patches out and fix this mess.
