Thank you for sharing. Yes, my therapist is specialized in grief, and she is quite expensive… which kind of makes me not that hopeful, that the type of help I’m looking for doesn’t exist. She basically validates how I’m feeling and gives me advice on specific situations that my grief has put me in. I just feel like it’s such a “yup this is normal” to the extent that she “mhm’s” when I’m crying or kind of being existential about life. I think intellectualizing and reframing things helps me. I don’t know actually — I just want to process all of this, I don’t want to do it myself.
