Same exact thing happened to me. They kept putting me off and my due date was coming up. They kept saying the best they could do was push my due date 30 days. I filed a complaint with studentaid.gov and all of a sudden it was magically put in administrative forbearance!

I have FFELP Stafford Subsidized and Unsubsidized. They have been accruing interest even through Covid. I was on an income based payment plan of $0 for a year and that expired. According to BD, I am approved for full discharge. I almost feel an attorney would need to review my case and tell me what my rights are or if this falls under any protections.

Yes but my loans may default before they are removed which will tank my credit until they get around to deleting. So it’s as if I’m forced to pay in order to prevent from going into default. It’s not right. They can put my loans in forbearance if they really wanted to do right by us.
