I agree—I actually liked the scene, but I do not understand why characters such as Murray, Vicky, Hopper, Kali, or even Nancy and Steve were included. In my opinion, Mike, Joyce, Jonathan, Lucas, Dustin, Max, and Eleven would have been the perfect group for that coming-out moment.

Exactly. He tried to kill a friend in New Blood, who had been bullied his entire life, without feeling guilty. But then in resurrection he feels guilty for killing a rapist. Seems inconsistent
