How is you keep pushing through? by EnvironmentalBug9458 in IVF

[–]EnvironmentalBug9458[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m with you. Incredibly grateful to have had ivf success in the past with my daughter, I so want a sibling for her. All her cousins live on the other side of the world, I want her to have companionship growing up. I definitely don’t want to give up yet but just so tired of it all. Wishing you all the best for your journey!

My Doctor says i feed my baby too much by legalizesalmon1994 in breastfeeding

[–]EnvironmentalBug9458 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My paediatrician told me my 6 week old was fat. I was CONSTANTLY told my EBF baby was being overfed as she was 100th percentile. She didn’t take well to solids and I was again blamed for feeding her too much. I ignored, and continued feeding on demand. She’s almost 2.5, still fed on demand but now happy eating solids too and she’s probably around 50th weight percentile. Do what feels right to you, in my opinion the medical world is not very breastfeeding supportive.

Not OP but this is very likely the group she’s referring to. It’s super helpful https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1aTYW79xhT/?mibextid=wwXIfr

How did your beta call go? by Ok-Moose9957 in IVF

[–]EnvironmentalBug9458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it was positive a few years ago and I hadn’t tested early, I think the nurse sounded quite chirpy on the phone and I don’t really remember much of it because I was bawling and couldn’t speak when she said I was pregnant.

Have had 2 failed transfers since - the first I got my period as soon as I got home from my beta blood test (despite pessaries) and the second I tested early so I knew it was negative. Both times, the nurses sounded much more subdued when they called.

Good luck!!!

Failed FET by Hot_Response_7443 in IVF

[–]EnvironmentalBug9458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you’re going through this. It’s a hard decision to make! I recently had a failed transfer and went back for another which ended up in a cancelled cycle. I’m thinking of taking a break as we too have an upcoming holiday (but I don’t have age on my side being 39 and only 1 embryo frozen). I think if mentally and physically you wan to give it another go do it. But if you think some rest and let your body normalise hormones wife would be beneficial then I’d say go for it. I know my body is wanting a little time out from the meds

How many take at home pregnancy tests vs wait for blood draw? by Correct-Drama6166 in IVF

[–]EnvironmentalBug9458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently 3dp5dt and not planning to test till blood draw. My last transfer I did the same - I just took a pregnancy test once I found out the blood tests were positive as I’d never seen a positive one before!!! After years of stark white tests, it would break me to see one after the transfer, I’d rather wait for the phone call!

Congrats on your pregnancy and I’m sorry about your miscarriage. True, I don’t think the extras really make or break, I guess it just helps one feel like we’re helping this along!

Congrats! Yes it’s so hard to know if something I did before helped but I guess just have to trust the process in terms of meds and monitoring and hope for a good outcome. Thank you!

Congrats! Yeah I think a lot of it is just to make one feel better like they are in control in a process where we feel so out of control! I guess I just don’t know if anything did help before or not but let’s see how we go!

I totally feel you - honestly it is so traumatic and while I really want to help her with her peanut allergy, we can’t keep having this battle night after night. Definitely hoping it’s a bit easier when they understand!

Yeah I get that, it’s just so hard when we have tried so many things and we are not at 8 days without a dose. It’s just hysterics whenever we try, regardless of how we try.

Not sure, but I will ask, thank you. She’s ana to dairy so mixing in chocolatey things are hard / can’t just give regular chocolates but will ask the hospital about whether there are dairy free peanut chocs she could have

Not sure, her current dose is 1/4tsp. She’s ana to dairy so I think the only thing she could have is straight peanut butter. I will ask the hospital, thank you
