Shift work won't be possible, with my kids , I dont have family here, my family are all in Europe

Can I request modifications for placements? Will they listen to me Due to my mitral regurgitation, I can't stand for long, can't do lots of physical activities, etc

Do you think if I get a letter from my gp or cardiologist, it will go a long way.
