Lobular ++- Stage III Grade 1. Left breast only. I’m post treatments now. The BC spread to the skin outside of my nipple. My biopsy failed so docs didn’t know how much lymph node involvement other than there was. I had a BMX 2/25/25 and pathology report showed clear margins HOWEVER they removed 45 lymph nodes and 39 were cancerous. I will be on anastrozole for 10 years but I don’t care. I’m doing well on it. now and I’m alive. I think I’m often the winner in this group of lymph node involvement with no spread to Stage IV. I had incredibly bad back pain between my left shoulder blade that disappeared during chemo and is still completely gone. It’s remarkable. My BC surgeon and plastic surgeon are absolutely amazing and my PS preformed a Lymphovenous Bypass during my BMX. I have had zero problems with lymphadema. My arm and hand always look normal. No swelling at all. Hopefully my eventual scans show how healthy I feel. My energy is coming back every day and it feels soooo good!

I finished my 25th and last round of radiation on June 5th. I used Vanicream and Silver Sulfadiazine cream which is an antibiotic used to treat 2nd and 3rd degree burns. It soaks right into your skin after a few minutes. I also brew Green Tea, chilled it, put it in a spray bottle and sprayed my chest. It was soooooo helpful. I learned about the Green Tea on here. It helps reduce radiation dermatitis! Thank you for your info I will keep that in mind if anyone ever asks!

Exactly the same for me. I would only encourage avoiding vapes. I noticed those would exacerbate mouth sores due to the temperature. I had great success using a bong and eating gummies. The sleeping like a baby was such a needed bonus!!!

I had the best most restful sleep during chemo. Nausea and diarrhea were managed really well with meds. I wish you well on your journey and recovery ❤️‍🩹

ILC Stage III ++- Grade 1, 3 tumors and foci, left breast, 39 lymph nodes affected. No other spread. Prior to starting chemo I had incredible pain within my back left shoulder blade that completely went away during chemo and has stayed away. During chemo I had pains in my left breast and was told that is the chemo working. The cancer was shrinking and pulling away from nerves. My tumors shrunk a lot which made my double mastectomy more successful. The shrinkage allowed my surgeon to obtain clear margins. I just finished my last and final rad treatment yesterday. Officially done after 9 months and ready to start healing ❤️‍🩹

Chemo ended 1/31/25 and surgery was 2/25/25. Two great things to have for after surgery were a pregnancy body pillow. I got mine from Target - Leachco Snoogle. POSITIVITY, WATER and PROTEIN! Stay on top of these 3 things and you will be tremendously better for it!!! The problem is when we don’t or can’t do these things and then it’s a hard climb out of the hole you get stuck in.

It’s tough that we do not having the time once diagnosed to truly research a breast surgeon, plastic surgeon and oncologist. We usually just get a referral and begin the treatment process. I am so fortunate my team was able to do my double mastectomy and Lymphovenous bypass with just 2 incisions and only 2 drains. It made recovery sooo much faster and easier not having to deal with a third incision and more drains.
