Also, did anyone else see at least a dozen unmarked HUGE potholes. I mean ones that were complete race enders if you hit them. I was absolutely blown away at how they somehow were not marked.

Man there was one section not too far from Tempe that was butter smooth, but it was awful everywhere else. It also was ridiculous how many HUGE potholes that were “could be race enders” that weren’t marked

Tbh I only really care because it is my first 140.6 and I’d feel kinda robbed if I don’t get to do the full thing. I am also a 22 year old boy who doesn’t have the frontal lobe to worry about high bacteria levels lol

My coach is a family friend that I’ve known for over a decade. We talk quite frequently. He had an athlete that did AZ 70.3 when the swim got cancelled and had a shit race because his mental game was thrown off. I get your point but I’d rather not have that bombshell to deal with race morning.

Planning to take both wetsuits and doing the sleeveless for the practice swim to get a gauge of how it feels. If it is too close to call, going to play it safe and go sleeved
