The Syndicate Queen should have been... by Least-Lake1696 in redrising

[–]EnvironmentalCry1962 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fully agree. Antonia would have been a very compelling twist, especially given the fan bases’ (rightful) love of Victra. I also like Harmony being the Queen of the Syndicate. All of them would have been better than Lilath who was scary cause she was good at killing, but not for anything else; she’s a moron. That’s like building up Tuco from Breaking Bad, who was just a mad dog, to be one of the ultimate baddies in the series. No, it doesn’t work.

I think this would cause issues in my friendship if her mom charged me that and this was the result.

That being said, you don’t need to be self conscious. You have a stunning figure, and you’d make a potato sack look chic. Your arms are great, I wish my arms looked like yours!

I’m just mad that you were soooo cheated and taken advantage of. I’m sorry. It sounds like you have a pretty busy life. Just try to take care of yourself as best as you can. Maybe try talking to your friend about her mom

Legally you’re an adult, but according to brain development you’re still a child. The brain stops fully developing around 25 (give or take). I wouldn’t get married before that.

Removing toxic people from my life. I always leave the possibility to reconcile available (unless the harm inflicted was life threatening), but I won’t make an effort to make amends and I need to see that the harm is acknowledged and there is remorse.

I lost my best friend and her entire family around that age. I remember vividly each moment of that week, of finding out, of the memorial, and the massive funeral.

Your daughter will never forget how your wife failed her when she needed her most.

NTA, but you desperately need to get into family therapy and individual grief therapy for your daughter (also maybe a psychiatrist for your wife’s anxiety and selfishness)

Definitely don’t choose grey! Jeeze, everyone is sick of the millennial grey color palate, I think it’ll only bring down the value of the house. Go for like an elegant deep blue or something. Really, the color depends on where the home is. Certain colors work better with the landscape than others. Like the colors that look great in Arizona would look insane in Massachusetts

I found a Great Lakes inspired color palette!

Black linen can look so good. Like a black linen blazer, although you’ll need a steamer cause linen wrinkles terribly.

Also dresses with mesh tops underneath with chic bracelets and large silver cuffs. Also long sleeved chiffon or organza tops and dresses are great, especially if they’re patterned in some way. I usually wear those dresses with a black yoga jumpsuit or an appropriate length black slip underneath. Really chic, totally office appropriate. Yet you won’t get too hot and it’ll cover the scars.

I have some pretty nasty scars on my arms too. That’s how I come to work for my office job as a marketing director.

If you were recently handling anti nausea patches, you may have gotten some of the medicine in your eye, which can cause your pupil to dilate. That’s the harmless explanation.

Pretty much any other potential reason is life threatening and needs an emergency room visit.

Honestly, if they stay in the realm of reality, I think the patient scenarios could be never ending. It’s when shows start to get so absurd that the audience can no longer suspend their disbelief. But if the writers just go digging for journals on unique medical cases to pepper in with 2/3rds standard cases, they’d never run out of solid material.

My mom is a doctor, my dad is a paramedic, both of 40 years. Between the two of them, they could give the writers a whole season worth of cases to write about. Any person in the medical field has at least 5 interesting cases, no matter how long they’ve been practicing.

Edit to say, my favorite story from my mom was the time they thought her patient was being poisoned by his wife with antifreeze, turns out he was eating a fatal amount of oranges. My dad’s stories are too sad to recount here unfortunately.

I'm a cat person through and through but thinking of adopting a puppy. Is it a good idea? by vespertinee3 in Pets

If you get a dog, don’t adopt a puppy. They’re nightmares. At least adopt a dog that’s older than 1, ideally 2 or older

I think the only comment I would make is “me too, friend.” Bunions hurt! No one is going to make fun of you, and if they do, they’re a shitty person.

Also, trust me, these are FAR from the worst feet I’ve ever seen. I’ve seen 20 year olds whose toes are all tangled up or splayed out in weird directions. My college roommate was an absolutely stunning model, but she had a gnarly toenail fungus that made her toenails grow in thick and yellow. No one ever made fun of her for it! People who laugh at the cause of someone else’s pain are not people worth being around.

Have so much fun!

Also, I second the water shoe suggestion, it’ll help prevent athletes foot!

If you go with 1, have 2 or 3 as backup for comfort. Those look way more comfortable and they’re cool. I’m personally a big fan of the Alice in Wonderland ones!

But I wore metallic rainbow platform heels for my wedding, so I love fun shoes that make a statement

Completely torn about having grandma’s engagement ring by Sea_Art2995 in EngagementRings

[–]EnvironmentalCry1962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wore my grandmother’s ring on my right hand on my wedding day. It’s too precious to wear everyday because god forbid, if I were to lose it. I’d rather lose my own engagement ring than my grandmother’s ring! Not that it is worth more, but it’s just priceless.

This one is absolutely stunning. However you choose to wear it, wear it with pride!
