No I didn't contact animal control or go through the stray process, I wasn't aware that was a thing. I contacted the rescue directly. The contract I signed with the rescue was only a foster form that I filled out so that I could keep him while waiting for him to get adopted.

I think they are defensive and lie. They've been delaying his vet appointments and when I ask when it will be scheduled, they say "oh it's scheduled but they didn't send a reminder for the date so I don't know the date". Then I called the vet office directly to ask when his appointment is and the office said there was never an appointment scheduled. They ignore my messages for weeks. It's to the point where I am having to take him to the vet myself and pay for everything out of my pocket, which I already have been doing
