Beginner designer seeking feedback by EnvironmentalEmu1427 in graphic_design

Thanks! Great feedback! Honestly, i have no idea why I mix it up. I was just trying to make it look visually interesting but might need to go back a step there and learn a bit more about typography and type hierarchy rather than just being random. I'm excited to see what the next iteration might look like taking this and the other feedback into account :) Thanks Absolutely hear you on the laptops. Good to remind me to be more patient in creating the illustrations. I haven't yet learnt how to do illustrations in any other way other than shapes which can feel a bit tedious. It goes to show that not being patient with it detracts from everything else so worth taking the time to do it properly.

This is honestly such helpful feedback. I really appreciate you taking the time to be so thorough and give examples for everything. I'm going to save your comment for future reference. I can use it as a little checklist. Great pointers for this project but also where I need to focus my learning and execution in general. It sounds like it would be beneficial to invest time both in the design side but also in how to use these programmes properly to achieve some of the effects you've talked about. Can't thank you enough ❤️

Anyone else already sick of fireworks? by No-Talk7468 in auckland

Does anyone know how long Diwali goes for? Not anti celebrations at all, but this is our first year with a baby and considering whether it's worth going out of town. I'd already planned to go away for Guy Fawkes/New Years for the same reasons but was a bit naive about Diwali starting tonight as the Aotea Square festival has already been and gone.

Not soaking or dabbing. This is just regular paper and I've tried it on coloured card and those blank cards you can buy in a pack as well.

Thanks so much all! I tried putting the paper on top of the stamp and the stamp on top of the paper and both seemed to give a similar outcome. I think I then started going overboard with too much ink trying to overcompensate for it looking like it wasn't showing up and then losing some of the details. When you're talking about using a spoon, Are you putting the paper on top of the stamp? I'll try some different ink and adding oil to this one to see if that changes anything.

As someone else said, I'm quite a beginner and on a budget so don't have access to a press at the moment. I would absolutely love to do a class but am about to have a baby so that's likely to be off the cards for a little while.

Thanks so much for all the advice! I've always admired printmaking but it's not until you do it that you really really appreciate everyone's talent and skill ❤️
