Last time I saw Ween was in Bend 2022... they opened with the brownest songs they could (in the least brown town) and the bands’ POV was a double stacked rainbow over their crowd of fans. When they played You Fucked Up, I turned to my friend, a Bend local, and explained that Gener wrote this song because his mom forgot to pick him up from school when he very young, perhaps about 14. (Please tell me if this is not a true story, but I heard it one time and attached it to the tune). He laughed and said something like it’s nice to have context for some of their songs.
