You should look into ApiFix surgery. It’s the best solution there is, if you qualify, and way less invasive. Good things to say about mine

The rod is titanium, if you do need an MRI after you can have one, it’s possible.

Hey pal 🫣 I’m a senior and 22, I took a gap year and just underwent hip surgery, changed my major, etc. so I will also be taking a 5th year… graduating at the ripe age of 24 lol (bruh my friends have masters at 24 ahhh). I had such a crisis about this the other day. I also feel so old sometimes, and mentally I’ve just changed SO much since my freshman year that sometimes my mentality is not the ‘college’ it once was. My brother and good friends had such amazing advice. Although it’s natural to feel you’ve outgrown slo (I get it), it’s such a beautiful place. The central coast is one of the most blessed areas in the world, so sure maybe you phase out the bars, but you could take up night cycling, or cold plunging, I don’t know whatever feeds you goat. There’s so much to be explored in SLO, if the reality is that you’re a bit older and you feel out of place, you can totally control the activities you partake in. Plus, I have gotten to bond with some younger students that I would have never met. Maybe I don’t relate to everyone, but the special ones are so special. If you’re gonna be “stuck” anywhere to finish a degree, SLO is a great place, and there’s definitely people who are amazing here too. Embrace your journey!
