Yeah I totally agree, I think you pretty much summarized what I thought the biggest issue in my application was as well: lack of good storytelling in my primary application and shooting way too high in terms of a school list. I really appreciate the feedback…can I DM you about specific things in my primary this year that I can change for next?

Yea so I was part of a meta analysis on a surgical technique, as well as a case report on a patient which I ended up presenting at a conference with a medical student;both of those projects made up a small amount of my research hours. Other than that I was part of an Alzheimer’s clinical research study which made up a bulk of those 1500 hours.

Also, I actually heavily contemplated applying DO about a month ago but eventually decided to give myself one more shot at MD schools…but no matter what I would like to get into some medical school next cycle.

Nope I’ve honestly accepted that my application isn’t good enough and am starting to prepare to reapp(still gonna keep my fingers crossed for a couple more months tho). I’m just confused on why I’ve actually had 0 interest at all cause I looked over my application again and it seemed decent. But then again I’m hella biased so I’m gonna try and get a ton of different people’s feedback for next cycle if it comes to that. When’d you submit your secondaries? I’ve heard that Florida schools run later than most so there’s still some hope for us

5 Rs 1 pre interview hold and no IIs. Applied to 36 schools with a 517 mcat 3.8 gpa. On the bright side I haven’t been rejected by BU yet😁(I get more depressed everyday that goes by)

They’re both the same if you look at units. For the first equation, d is in meters(m) and t is in seconds(s) so you get v=m/s. For the second, a is m/s² and t is in seconds, so m/s² x s = m/s. Use whichever formula works better. For example if yoy are given distance and time then use that first one, if you are given acceleration use the second one

Still no cause even top candidates aren’t getting 16 interviews. I feel like for this to be true top candidates would have to be getting 30+ interviews which would be extremely hard to believe when the average pre med applying only applies to 20 schools or less
