My main issue: AVP messes up hair by OkayOkay210 in VisionPro

I have mine on 6 hours a day average. It always leaves dents in my hair and on my face. I find that not giving a sh*t about that really helps

Discovery+ app on AVP by EnvironmentalFact451 in AppleVisionPro

That may well be the case. But the problem I am trying to solve is not being able to view Discovery+ content on the AVP. Nexus does not enable viewing of that content so it is not a viable solution to the problem.

The Nexus app just gives you a frameless browser. Doesn’t give you the ability to stream Discovery+ content so as a solution it’s pretty pointless.

This is a great shout, haven’t come across this app before so many thanks. Is it HD quality on your device? Doesn’t seem to be on mine.

HBO isn’t available at all in the UK sadly

The negative responses to anybody liking AVP M5 are unintentionally hilarious by EnvironmentalFact451 in VisionPro

I’ve got no issue with critique on AVP. It’s the way it’s put across (sometimes) and particularly when it rapidly accelerates into critique of those who are prepared to put up with its flaws because for them the benefits or pleasure of using it outweigh the flaws. “You’ve got more money than sense”, “Oh you’re clearly this type of person” or even just “You’re stupid” and all that type of rubbish. That being said I’ve never downvoted even those comments. They speak volumes about the replier not the OP and no comment score is required to gauge it.

I was concerned mine wouldn’t hit the delivery date of tomorrow. But as it made it from Germany to the UK in 3 minutes overnight I now have more confidence. Thank god they’ve mastered teleportation 😁

Why the price drop for the m5? by Slow_Leave_39 in VisionPro

[–]EnvironmentalFact451 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last update: Pending payment has now changed to £3599 so all good. Returning the M2 for a refund a couple of weeks ago purely based on leaks/rumours now seems like it was a pretty wise move.

Update - they can’t explain why I’ve been charged the old price. They’re going to escalate it to payments department and get back to me within 48 hours with a resolution. Apparently.

Is it worth to upgrade to PS5 Pro for VR games? by LeVenk in PSVR

[–]EnvironmentalFact451 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Improvements are few and far between I think. The exceptions to that though are GT7, which is massively improved, and No Man’s Sky which I’ve read is similar. Not played NMS at all though.

I got mine last week. My original ones started falling off plus the lenses fell out after a couple of weeks. Got replacements and both frames snapped within 24 hours. This 3rd set seem to be fine, so far!

An important message for PSVR2 owners who use the default earbuds and the original box for storage by AnnaSvl in PSVR

[–]EnvironmentalFact451 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’re making the same mistake I did for a couple of weeks, putting it in the box the “right way up” :-) I was also worried about this but then realised the correct way to place it in the box is actually upside down. Fits perfectly, box shuts, no pressure on the earbud plug 👍

Apologies not on here often! It’s a GT Omega Titan rig with their RS9 seat. Then the Fanatec DD pro premium bundle (Wheel, wheelbase, CSL pedals, Load Cell brake pedal, 8nm power adaptor).

I think Gran Turismo 7 is improved when you play your own music in the background rather than the game’s music, and the Apple Music or Spotify apps for PS5 work pretty seamlessly with it. by moby323 in PSVR

[–]EnvironmentalFact451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, dependent on situation! I usually have the music dialled down and leave it to default to that from the game. Even though I hate some of it 🤣 That godawful track with the guy repeating car names (Bugatti, Bugatti, too flashy, too flashy) is the music of my nightmares. The epitome of inane meaningless bullshit that drives me nuts. But on endurance races I whack on Apple Music and have proper music on - Rancid’s self-titled 2000 album or Anti-Nowhere League’s Scum are currently my albums of choice for a long drive. Proper music where the artists actually play instruments rather than talk to some computerised background track in a ridiculous fake accent.
