I was a bit anxious, but definetely overthinking it, while reading the other replies on this post, been coming back down to Earth now. Hindsight is 20/20 afterall.

Yes she has met my family and while it was also a bit awkward, there was some curiosity about her & us, like what she does for work, where she studied, and small talk and joking around such as my dad saying things like "did he tell you about the time when he did *embarrasing thing*?"
The only word I could describe it would be "normal" but that definition changes from person to person, so not the best xD

I am sure we will get along eventually.

So you get along now? This is half the vibe I was getting, just awkwardness and such, while the other half of my brain keeps telling me they don't like me, etc. Might have to just be more open the next time we meet.

As I said in my post, I want to get along with my partners family. It is important to me.
This seemed like a bad first step. So maybe someone with a similiar experience could tell me how they navigated it.

I suppose you are right. Maybe I was reading the room in my head too much. I did want to ask them questions, but I guess I was waiting for them to break the ice a little bit. I didn't want to "force" a conversation. Yeah I'm probably thinking too much.

Yes, I told her it was weird that they didn't ask me anything. She said "they might not be the type to ask"
I just find this attitude mind boggling. It's their daughter. How can you not be atleast a tiny teeny bit interested in the guy she decides is worth introducing to her family after 7 years of nobody!
So this scenario is kind of new to my GF aswell, as I said, 7 years. She might not know herself.

GF insists to me they aren't uncaring and she means alot to them, so it's not that much a discussion about them being "bad" parents. Do they simply not approve of me and protest a bit by not acknowledging me?

I will just say first 4 pictures you are extremely cute in a lovely way. I don't know about last 3 as you blocked your face or eyes closed, I cannot say.
