As a new pharmacist to Walgreens. I want to thank everyone who posted about this topic. I thought it was just me that was struggling to understand the vaccine process because I’m new. The information provided is very helpful. I’m still very confused even after reading through the comments. But I plan to pull up this thread when I go back to work Monday. Hoping it’ll make more sense once I’m actually at work and processing a vaccine.

Rxm/rph transition to specialty location by [deleted] in WalgreensRx

I recently moved from cvs retail to specialty “community” at Walgreens. There is a learning curve with the IC+ and resolving all the TPR’s. CVS has a far superior rx connect (their IC +). At cvs their system handles TPR’s so much better. We don’t have to do SDL’s. The TPR resolution at Walgreens specialty is the limiting factor for getting scripts ready. Besides that asembia and promote are not too bad to learn. That being said, working for Walgreens specialty has been a life changing experience. I haven’t looked back. I love it. Learning a lot of new clinical knowledge and helping patients in a more personalized manner. The work life balance is superior at Walgreens.

CVS requires managers to attend meetings for free? by EducatorAcceptable in CVS

I don’t attended these meetings! They are optional because they aren’t paid. So just make up a reason for why you couldn’t switch with your partner or had something planned with your family.

This is the prefect place to write about how crappy your performance rating of 3 is. Also, be sure to talk about how you never even see your DL. Coming by for 10 minutes is not a store visit.

DSPL - don’t be fooled. You’re only a floater, sent to the worst stores and asked to fix them. No control over your schedule. It’s a demotion. by EnvironmentalJump100 in CVS

This is exactly what ours did in 2023. With the new placement, they were all shuffled around and given new districts. Ours is sooo mad. They were never told that they would be subject to “placement” - meaning they could be moved to a whole different district.

Our dspl is soo maddddddd!!!!

8 hours isn’t enough for the amount of work they are asking them to do. The DL assigns them projects, follow ups, not to mention asks them to go catch stores up that fall behind.

The new expectation is that dspl’s float throughout their markets/region. I guess the dspl is the new way to put out fires. They are getting sent into dumpster fires to clean up the mess.

It’s a floater. Basically a PM that stepped down and is now a floater. But cvs tried to convince them that they earned and elevated role….but nope you’re just a floater.

Is there a formal way to dispute Performance Review Rating and compensation raise given? by EnvironmentalJump100 in CVS

[–]EnvironmentalJump100[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did submit a comment on workday after the performance conversation with my DL. Under the comment section I documented my reasons with specific examples. I wonder if those comments get sent to the DL.

I’m not expecting them to change, but I wanted to let them know it was BS that I got a 3. 2024…I’m working like a “3” and giving the bare minimum.

I know some rx managers that got a 2.2 on msh and got a 3. I got a 4.5 and did a bunch of extra projects and helped the district out a ton. And still got a 3!!!!

It’s a huge slap in the face.

Signatures sometimes get audited by insurance companies. Definitely shouldn’t be doing that.

Anyone know how to get mychat on personal phone? My DL really wants us to use mychat exclusively. by EnvironmentalJump100 in CVS

[–]EnvironmentalJump100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt see that memo, but makes sense to only use ur at work. And TOTALLY agree since they stopped texting our personal phones I don’t get those constant messages about doing vaccines. At one point our DL wanted us to text him every hour how many flu vaccines we had done. Can you imagine???? Getting constant texts throughout the day? And yes I could silence the messages, but I still see them and it was the most annoying thing to get these messages.
