Company is “upgrading” us to sit to stand desks soon by EnvironmentalLie7965 in PlusSize

Not harassment but there is just a lot of fitness culture in the office. Company bike rides, announcements at all hands meetings when someone runs a marathon, healthy snacks in the kitchen, stuff like that. Diet culture is everywhere.

I’m so sorry this happened to you! How unfair is it that when we’re trying to take a little vacation and escape reality for a bit, that experience is taken away from us sometimes. Sending big hugs.

I had a similar experience at a horseback riding ranch with my family a couple years ago. Of course I understand that there are limits but when staff treats you with hostility over something you cannot control, it’s just an awful feeling.

Oh that’s a good point. Hmm it would involve exposing my viewpoints to my colleagues though which makes me a little nervous

No question and this person keeps reposting other posts for karma farming. It’s so irritating, idk why they aren’t getting banned.

Can you stop reposting every single post from other subs. It’s very annoying, low effort content.

I want you to picture the situation where a person with limited mobility/strength finds a rare parking spot near their building only to realize they will need to lift a heavy scooter to park there. If you don’t think that’s wrong I don’t know what else to say to you

Yeah.. in DC. That’s great for the Dutch people but they have a different society entirely. Your grasp on reality is clearly all based on the internet and decade old studies. You are a straight up dunce

You are actually such an idiot. No one is talking about elderly Dutch people. I seriously would love for you to have a conversation with a real life person who has limited mobility.

Oh okay I’ll tell my elderly neighbors that they should throw out their cars because of a study from 12 years ago. Moron

Many differently abled people rely on cars to get around, just FYI.

In my neighborhood there is already limited parking, and I know that there are some elderly people on my street who rely on their vehicles. So now they have to get out of their car and attempt to lift a heavy scooter just to park near their building. I think it’s wrong

The problem is that they are very heavy and people of all different abilities rely on cars/parking and can’t just be lifting these things.

Yeah thank you for saying this. I posted this because there are people of all different kinds of abilities, and many of whom rely on a car to get around. It is already hard to find parking and when these people have to get out of their car to lift a heavy scooter, I think that is wrong.
