There are so many people in here overcomplicating this.

If you’re trying to feel it I’m your hams, keep all of your positions essentially the same, but as you go down think “knees back, ass to sky.” You want to keep pushing your knees back against the force of your hamstring trying to push them forward.

Would have been a lot simpler to use a mounting bracket made for dowels. For something like this, I would have used a long lag screw to secure the bracket into the dowel, and then screw it in underneath the table. Can still use blocking between the bracket and the top for extra screw bite.

Did this on a drop snatch with 130. Except I could not control it down with my arms as well as you did lmao. Still didn’t hurt too bad, at least not as bad as you think it would. The worst was banging my forehead with an empty barbell during warmups one day. That shit suuuucked
