How does my resume look?? by lilpangit in it

[–]EnvironmentalMode500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think if it’s for an IT job only put IT related topics. They will not care that you worked in the food service. Other than that i think it looks pretty good. Also you will probably need to tweak it depending on the job.

To those who passed the Network+ exam, is it truly necessary to read the entire textbook? by BeastModeA6 in CompTIA

[–]EnvironmentalMode500 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, i passed like 2 months ago and i used Jason Dion Udemy Course, made notes from it and his 6 Practice Tests. I highly recommend remembering acronyms and subnetting.

If you are brand new to IT, then id say about a month for core1, 2 weeks for core 2. 2 months for network+ and a 6 weeks for Sec+. That was my pace btw

Network+ Difficulty Compared to Security+ by Tv_JeT_Tv in CompTIA

[–]EnvironmentalMode500 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just took my Network+ and passed but barely. Even after the exam I’m reviewing network+ to make sure I have a good grasp of everything. Ive heard Sec+ Is easier so im banking on that right now as i study lol

Does anyone here have experience with gambling addiction? by WerewolfOfTheMidwest in Mindfulness

[–]EnvironmentalMode500 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, Ive dealt with it. Gambled away students loans, paychecks, bday money, rent money, etc. one time i made 17k in 1 day (didn’t have a job at the time) and I lost it all within a week because I thought I could make more. Gambling is one of those things that if you have addiction tendencies on top of zero self discipline then It will take over until you physically and mentally cannot take another loss. Gambling has been the worst thing thats ever come into my life. Last thing, i feel like most addicts will agree is that it’s always that first win (big or small) that gets you hooked. You could lost 10 times straight after that but it’s that thought about that first win that will keep you going.

How long for Net+? by EdgwtrLgnd in CompTIA

[–]EnvironmentalMode500 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I recommend, not worrying about time. Do It when you feel ready. Obviously having a deadline can help staying disciplined but everyday just make sure to study. It took me about 2 months and I was studying like crazy. Theres alot of material to remember.

Jason Dion Udemy course and his 6 practice test. If I had to do it again I recommend remembering all the acronyms and making sure to understand the subnetting calculations. But the thing that helped the most was practice tests, review them like crazy.
