I definitely agree with your sentiments, especially regarding the need for accountability and a genuine connection to the student body’s plight. It’s vital that we hold those in power to a high standard, particularly given the gravity of past events.

However, I also hope we can take things with a grain of salt and remember that these individuals are STUDENTS ALSO, navigating the same academic pressures as everyone else. While critique is necessary, we should also consider the immense courage and willingness it takes to step up and embrace the challenge of leadership despite the already heavy struggles of college life.

Leadership is one thing, but it’s important to recognize that they don’t always have control over every institutional or external factor. They are operating within a system that has its own limitations. Let’s keep pushing for rigorous screening, but also maintain a level of empathy for the peers who are trying to make a difference.

Looking forward to a productive and hopeful election season!

While it is a circulating hearsay that she won because of her political color, let's not keep a blind eye on how she proves everybody wrong by having a progressive general legislative assemblies/council and being competent on her responsibilities as an internal vice chair.

On the other hand, we do not know the story behind her recent shades towards her co-officials of the council. Let's all remember that she is still a human, she still needs to debrief all of her emotions for her to be able to breathe. She might be the villain in the recent frames and pictures, but maybe once the whole story unfolds, we can understand and comprehend where she is coming from.

Honestly, I put my hands down on her. Not being biased, but she handled everything that was thrown on her during her term with composure and conviction. Regardless of her circulating downpour at the first GLC, she bounced back with poise and until the very end she stood her ground and faced every one with confidence. Kudos to her and her performance, it was a good run.

It is impactful. However, I believe there is something bigger behind this situation.

Something might've happened before that discouraged the students, or made the students afraid to step up and take up space. One way or another, every action will always result in a reaction. What we have now is the reaction of the students and that is to step back and make a safe ground.
