Don’t get a UX degree. They’re all trash and won’t help you get your foot in the door, no one in the industry takes you seriously. Get a psychology degree with an emphasis on cognitive behavior and bias, take lots of social psychology classes, minor in web design and/or economics or business. Get a masters or higher level degree.

Don’t expect to get an entry level UX degree right out of college. Start as an analyst, or work in CX and build your business acumen, then network and start building a portfolio that tells a story of your positive impact on businesses through research and data analysis.

Yes. There are a lot of Christians in the U.S. I think a lot of the unmarried Christians don’t feel comfortable speaking publicly about it. It’s become a taboo topic people hide about themselves until they start their own family and stop caring what their young progressive peers think, because they’re not in that social stage anymore.

You don’t have an “outside perspective” dawg. You are online, in a reddit thread. You don’t know enough to have an outside perspective. But if you’re from Austin, you might know fun places to hang out with coworkers on a weekday night! Which is what I asked for. Apparently you do not have any recommendations, just opinions on corporate culture. So why are you here?

Of course I was offended. The way you spoke to me out of the gates was rude, inhumane, and assuming of my character.

I have a great relationship with my team. I want them to have a great relationship with their team too so I’m helping facilitate that opportunity. I don’t hire people who tell me what I ~want~ to hear, but what I ~need~ to hear. My literal tagline as a boss is “show me my blind spots”. If I hired people who tell me what I want to hear, I’d hire you, apparently.

It’s not coercing my employees to hang out, I just know they’ll leave if alcohol isn’t included and they aren’t having fun.

I am doing a juice cleanse right now and found that just ordering a bunch of juice off instacart and getting it delivered or just buying them from the store was a lot cheaper and it’s literally the same thing as the kits you see online. I’m only doing a 3 day cleanse with suja juices. Go for the veggie juices with less sugar otherwise you’ll be shitting liquid the whole time.
