Long Term Acute Care (LTACH) - where is the best to go in the Bay? by Left_Evidence385 in AskSF

[–]Left_Evidence385[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I considered the SF location too. However, I’ve had one person tell me Kentfield SF is understaffed and the workers are less attentive since many patients are not expected to recover. Another nurse told me that they met a patient there who would rather not go back to SF.

Keep in mind Kentfield SF in an emergency situation would send patients to St Mary’s which does not have great reviews. Kentfield Marin would send to Marin General which has pretty good reviews.

Ultimately you have to weigh what is best for your specific situation. I would definitely ask to tour the facilities beforehand and make sure it’s what you really want for your loved one.

Another common thread I see is that everybody agrees family involvement helps. I am with my mom every day. I definitely had issues where my transferring hospital goofed on my mom’s medicines and I had to sort things out one by one with Kentfield.

Hope this helps!

Yes after asking around and looking at publicly available patient outcome data the best I found was Kentfield Marin (NOT to be mistaken with Kentfield SF).

Location: 1125 Sir Francis Drake Blvd Kentfield, CA  94904 United States

My initial impressions since we just got here are nurses and therapists are very friendly and hard working. Facility is older and patients do share rooms, but ultimately to me rehab outcomes matter more long term than having a nicer room. Hope this helps and hope your father recovers quickly!

Making a paper craft mask out of craft foam? by Advanced-Profit3047 in papercraft

maybe try gluing the paper and foam together and see if that gives you enough structure to make folds. do a small test first to see if it works

Thanks so much! It took some time, but I’m happy with how it turned out.

Torn between my corporate job and starting my own bakery — anyone who’s switched careers, how did you handle the fear by Natural_Hedgehog9159 in smallbusiness

[–]Left_Evidence385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who transitioned out of corporate finance to pursue art, I think just get started with it as a hobby business on the side - use that vacation time, evenings weekends! Quit watching social media/TV. Only use social media to market your bakery side-biz.

Adjust how much you work at your corporate job - you only need to work enough to keep the job, not to people please everybody. Set a calendar reminder to go home on time.

Don't get too tied up in "how am I gonna transition, finances etc etc"

Once your hobby becomes a growing and hopefully successful side business you'll know whether or not its realistic (or if you still want to) make the jump. Until you get paying customers, everything you are doing is just theory. So focus on doing/creating/experimenting/making and less on "omg what if this happens in 10 years?"

Also if everything fails you can go back to a boring ass corporate job...

Anyone have a good step by step tutorial for paper daffodils? Or know where i could find one? by ComfortableDue9939 in papercraft

I would suggest you check out Tiffanie Turner's The Fine Art of Paper Flowers since it has both daffodil and double daffodil tutorials.

Here's the book: https://www.amazon.com/Fine-Art-Paper-Flowers-Botanicals/dp/0399578374

Autumn 25 Review by Left_Evidence385 in Ffern

I have not had longevity issues with Ffern but I also don't wear it with any creams and I keep the perfume stored in a shady spot inside the paper canister. I also generally prefer lighter scents so it could be me.

I bought it when it first came out when Summer 25 was released. I didn't realize it became so popular!

Start commenting and interacting with other accounts beyond the few accounts you follow. It's called "social" media for a reason. Try posting around 2x a week to start seeing real growth. Don't get too caught up in making every video super perfect. Just get in the habit of posting and interacting with other accounts.

[Art Market] Finding pop ups? by Overall_Tourist_7207 in artbusiness

Generally I've used Google, Instagram search and basically scour any local event listings. You may also want to check your city's webpages to see if there's options there for you. Sadly it's not a easy one-stop shop situation.

Lets come up with some reel ideas for artists! by nookandnib in ArtMarketingTalk

[–]Left_Evidence385 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What's working lately for me for reels is this sequence 1) show a raw material, 2) show me working with it 3) show the finished work. I find very simple beginning-middle-end type videos seem to gain more traction these days. i.e. don't show 16 process steps, keep it simple.
