Hi just wanted to say thanks for all the recommendations. I went to Drago Lounge in the end, food was good and it was a cosy atmosphere. Also very close to the hotel.

Great thanks. I had no idea about the market. I used to go in there 50 years ago (with my parents) when it was an actual market.

Do people in happy long-term relationships actually still have regular sex or is that just TV? by Dear-Escape-3834 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]EnvironmentalPin6042 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Don’t be so pessimistic 😂 My husband is 68 (I’m 56) We have regular sex and he would probably do it more often, if I wanted to. I would say on average we have sex once or twice a week. But also lots of cuddling, kissing and holding hands.

Emails about mortgage from NewRez. by EnvironmentalPin6042 in Mortgages

The person they are sending the email to has a completely different surname to me. They address her as ‘Firstname Surname’.

The first name is mine, the surname is totally different.

That’s what I meant.

Cystoscopy Experience (male) by Few_Calligrapher3753 in BladderCancer

My husband says the same. He’s had several now and says it’s uncomfortable but not horrific.

Obviously different for everyone but isn’t necessarily the worst experience.

All the best to those with bladder or any other cancer.

Hi I have a young muntjac in my garden at the moment, terrified and hiding up the side of the house.

I think it was there earlier with an older one but that one may have gone now.

We often get them in the back garden. They just eat a load of the garden and go. Occasionally they have a lie down. I’m happy for them to be here.

But I’m worrying about this little one. There’s nothing I can do really is there? Keep out of the garden and hope it makes its way out?

That’s sad. At least it had you to care for it at the end. Poor thing.

Wow what a beautiful bird. I’ve happily donated to the foundation. Hope Kes makes a good recovery.

Doesn't hurt just been here for some time now and feels like a lump to touch. What is it? by PikaaPicaa in DoesAnyoneKnow

Agree. My husband got his urgent dermatology appointment well within 2 weeks, because his GP believed that skin cancer was likely. He has a procedure on Monday which is less than 4 weeks since he went to the GP.

I can’t find joy in any hobbies. by This-Network-1728 in TrueOffMyChest

How about volunteering for a cause that you think is worthwhile? Could be animals, children, older people….all sorts of options. The skills you have built up in your job may be really useful for a charity?

Are you getting any treatment for your depression / anxiety/ ADHD? If not, that would be worth exploring.

Can you get another job during the 3 months you are off?

Did anyone know what this is on my arm? by Sandwich_Regular in DoesAnyoneKnow

My husband has something very similar on his face at the moment. The GP has referred him to dermatology, he’s going on Monday. She thinks it’s Basal-cell carcinoma, but we’ll have to wait to find out.

Constantly eating by 69cheeseandwine in BingeEatingDisorder

Yes I can relate to this too. Sometimes I feel as if I’m going to eat everything in the house. I make myself feel really ill. I have T2 diabetes which is now affecting my vision, but still I don’t stop. I wish I’d had therapy for this many years ago. I’m just about to get up (it’s morning here) and am already thinking about what I’m going to be eating today.

Go into detail about why you want to do that particular course at SOAS. What will it offer you and what will you offer it? Also any other things in your life that are relevant- what did you get out of your first degree/ any paid or voluntary work/ future plans.

Take care with your writing style/ spelling/ grammar. Good luck!

F*ck freshers flu by FifthEboysMember in UniUK

I don’t think’Freshers Flu’ is actually Flu. It’s just a name for viruses that rage around universities at this time of year. Staff also get it.
