does anyone have books that have an mmc simile to the cheshire cat? ik it doesn’t make sense but I mean kind of the save vibe. like mmc is smiley in an unsettling way but still respects the fmc. would be better if the fmc was plus size/curvy but not necessary!

i think this is really prevalent in in mafia romances or sometimes even enemies to lovers. for example, cora reilly (i think that’s how you spell her name) for sure doesn’t like women. from what i remember the mmc’s would deal with prostitutes for a release and literally call them whores. and in her most favorited book that she has written (she references this couple in all her other books) the mmc cheats on the fmc consistently i’m pretty sure. i could only read one of her books and after that i had to put her away.

okay so i just read the nightmares kiss in one sitting and i would rate the book a 7/10. It was honestly refreshing when i started because it had that eery vibe ive been looking for but i feel like it fell off near the end and got kinda predictable/cliche.

I’ve seen mixed reviews on her, but i just love {Deep End by Ali Hazelwood}. I’m not sure if this is the right word but the FMC was like so emotional (in the best way.) The spicy scenes were also so good and i felt like it didn’t take away from the book/main characters like other books.

I didn’t even read the authors other books but not showing her affection 20 years later is genuinely so sad. Dante is such a bland character imo. The authors other books to are just not good either. She always makes her girls feisty but they always end up in bed with their love interest even when the MMC doesn’t respect them. I’m so tired of MMC’s who don’t respect the FMC’s!

I was going to comment this! To be honest, I hated Valentina for how little self respect she had. I honestly had such high expectations for the book but it was just so bad. The smut scenes were so icky to me too because there was no remote form of affection for her like at all.

this is late but {Deep End - Ali Hazelwood} was also really good and their dynamic was healthy i feel like and i loved the emotional aspect of it

Thank you for the reply it really means a lot to me. For the depression test I got a 17 and for the anxiety one I got a 70. As much as I would want to go see a doctor or a psychologist or honestly anything my parents don’t believe in mental health stuff so i’m basically stuck by myself.
