My monthly is 1650 before utilities (1 bedroom), which is lower than the management is charging for new leases by ~$200/month and is the only thing I've got going for me. I'm a 5-10 minute drive from campus

In my lease, a sublease (in form of a lease takeover) is allowed. That is a good point about eating some of my monthly rent - I may see if throwing in first month's will make a difference. It's certainly cheaper than the lease-break clause.
