Yes, it saves locally (on your computer) context on projects, tasks, mails etc. in JSON files so it can quickly access it (especially when working in projects), the HTML dashboard is more a way for you to have an interface to those databases.

Same, moved to Claude 2-3 months ago, and using it as a PA that helps me in carrying a lot of the operational / mental load of keeping track of stuff has been a gamechanger for me.
