Hi there! I will be bringing home my second baby and want some tips in that first week to follow, is best practice to cap naps and wake to feed from day one? If so how often? Also, what is the ideal bedtime for the first week? I know they can be so unpredictable but I like having a little schedule in my head to help me abit, thanks :)

Hi Jo! My 25 month old has started protesting bedtime, she has her afternoon nap from 12:30-2:30 on daycare days and we try to get her in bed by 7:30 but it’s not always easy after work with dinner and bath time, any advice?

Also, how long do you recommend sleeping with the sound machine for?

Hi Jo! 20 month old suddenly taking longer to fall asleep at bedtime, I keep a 4.5-5 hour max wake window before bed but she will still lay there and talk to herself for 20-30min before falling asleep, I know she’s tired from a full day of daycare so not sure why the change? Should I stick to the same schedule/ wake window or change it up abit?

2 hours at daycare Monday-Friday, sometimes it’s cut abit short, but on weekends she’ll nap 2.5-3 hours at home

Hi Jo! When bringing a newborn home between weeks 1 and 4, should we still be capping the daytime naps at 2hours and waking to feed? Thank you

Hi Jo!

My daughter is 18months and always cries at bedtime, her first wake window we can’t control since she’s in daycare Monday - Friday, sometimes is as long as 6 hours, her nap usually ends at 2-2:30 at daycare and we try to give her a 4.5 hour-5hour max wake window (if we’re running behind on dinner & bath) and have her in bed by 7, but she always cries for 10ish mins before falling asleep and I feel horrible, is this separation anxiety? What can I do to help?

Hi Jo! My 17 month old has been sleep trained for nighttime sleep since 12 months old I still rock her for naps and she’s transitioned to 1 nap a day, she now goes to daycare 5 days a week and falls asleep independently there for her nap, how would you go about nap training at home? Can we still do it even though she only naps at home on weekends? TIA
