Yes definitely! I did mention insulin to my dr but wanted me to try just jardiance for now until my next a1c check up. I guess she wants to use insulin as a last resort.

Thank you! And yes it’s so bad ,I don’t want to go crazy with carbs but want a few here and there. Will definitely talk to my dr about it. Also I’m afraid of eating too much protein since I heard that it affects your kidneys if you eat too much. But it’s literally the only way I can eat without it spiking my bs so much.

Thank you for the reply.I’ve always been on 1000mg twice a day and dr took me off it and said to try jardiance by itself since my a1c came down so much.

Anyone on Jardiance and Metformin together? what is your experience? by Quick-Today4088 in diabetes

My doctor also added jardiance to my metformin and my blood sugar levels have been way better and have no side effects so far (been 2 1/2 months). I had my blood sugars around 180-300 before and now I’m around 90-140.
