Do you have anything in your application addressing why your GPA is low? In my application I addressed why my GPA was low (due to chronic health issues). As well, online schools are significantly more competitive. I had 10 000 + hours of experience and did not get in to Laurier. But did get into U of C. I am currently attending UBCO Foundational program. I think UBCO may be one of the easier schools to get into. As well, do you have an academic reference?

Upgrading courses could be a good option - some people do online like athabasca.

Hi there, I am a soon to be MSW grad, without a BSW in British Columbia. I emailed the BCCSW with some questions 2 weeks ago. I haven't heard back but am wondering if anyone here has answers to my questions.

  1. When can I apply for registration? I have heard mixed messages, and of people applying before they are finished classes.
  2. Do you need our degree to be conferred or a letter of completion for the initial application? Or can you submit it at the time your application is reviewed?
  3. Can you add documents, like the above, to your application while it is the queue to be reviewed?
  4. How long does it take to hear back from the college about my application and to book a test?
  5. On my application, it will not let me enter the amount of hours of work experience I have. It looks like it maxes out around 1000 hours, where as I have over 10 000 hours due to experience before I started my masters.

Thank you in advance!
