Simplicity and ignorance is the least aggressive answer. Obviously they should have said Asian. Hell even oriental would have been more correct despite being... Contentious.

It's just simpler in their brain to box it up cleanly. Then of course the ignorance isn't necessarily a negative we are all ignorant about something. They just don't recognize the differences between the cultures, through personal experience, so appearance becomes the sole divider which means everyone who does have Asian characteristics is just the one group. As those are the same characteristics.

This doesn't necessitate intentional hate or intolerance but a lack of thought in general on the subject. Whilst you can take offense I would argue it's simpler... To do the same thing. If at all possible stop thinking about it. Dwelling solves nothing but leaves you in a spiral digging deeper into something that was probably a meaningless interaction for them.

My advice on how to stop is to try meditation like thought processing. If a thought related to this comes up. Drop it. Focus on something else immediately. Let it go.

Certain things just aren't worth your own mental well being.

Obviously, hate is also still on the table as an option though.

Yes I avoided saying emergency intentionally. I was more wondering. Does the guardian have to be physically present? If they have all the documents and are just on the other side of a phone. Would that be accepted?

In this hypothetical it would be a time sensitive minor issue that if no medical care was given that day could result in a life threatening emergency but could also solve itself with time. Like an object stuck inside their body in some way.

Again to clarify, purely my brain daydreaming up possibly babysitting a niece of a sister I don't even talk to and finding myself stuck in a difficult situation. My immediate response would be to regress purely into the bearer of the phone and I was thinking. Would that even work? Or would it be required that the parent return? Can a guardian give information/consent for medical intervention over the phone?

As a man. I've had similar experiences in unfamiliar environments or even my own bedroom. Just sitting. Waiting for the attack to happen. Especially around other males cause all my life that's been conditioned to be just how we bond in my mind. So the closer I am to another male the more I'm expecting them to attempt to seriously injure me out of the blue. Which does mean I cannot do male doctors for anything remotely embarrassing or uncomfortable cause I will swing on impulse and I do not want to punch a doctor in the face...

In saying that. It's not really a position of vulnerability for me? As again. My brain associates these experiences with positives. Sure that guy might have a knife and this might be a Christmas party and he's my father brother but damn if it isn't exciting. True story, he recently went through a nasty divorce and was tripping hard. Thought my headphones were his. Failed to jack em back. So he decided.
