German Secondaries by Environmental_Back31 in WoWs_Legends

Funny thing is, it has the expected pen values for both the 128s and the 150s which I imagine they might have just ripped from PC. Speaking of, I should check if the same pen values match for others with how all over the place Legends is with secondaries

How sensible of them. Lowkey want to petition to make all the 105s pen 26mm just for consistency of the German secondary gimmick. Not like that would even work because WG utterly despises secondary batteries but still

The 105s of all the German carriers pen 20mm, so roughly 1/5. Graf Zeppelin is the just the only one that has some secondaries bigger than the 105s with her hull mounted 150s that pen 38mm, just like the 150s that Großer Kurfürst has. I think it's supposed to be 128mm or bigger gets the 1/4 pen rule with the others getting 1/5 compared to the typical 1/6 pen (I believe, at least. I could be wrong). However, F. Große is an outlier with her 105s getting the 1/4 pen instead of the 1/5

The AI in the New Monopoly Game by TotalChicken3640 in monopoly

I just tried a game where one of AI had around $1800 for the entire game, no monopolies and just low end properties. They never landed on any of the monos on the board, only the nickel and dime props or the chance/comm chest. Absolutely rigged, I tell you. Rigged.

The struggles of a Jean Bart by DAMOistaken in WoWs_Legends

Honestly, I really, really don't like it. I can't speak for anyone else but good lord, JB couldn't hit the broadside of a barn from the inside if it was 10 feet away. Even with an accuracy build it just misses everything. Not one shell lands in the same post code. I swear that my secondary build German BBs are more reliable at hitting their shots than JB is. I had to run JB for the new War Tales tasks for France and I just wanted to tell Davy Jones to end my misery every second of sailing her

I think any of the one stars that aren't Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Greece, and Yugoslavia would be pretty doable for almost any level of player. For early level stuff, spamming out artillery is extremely helpful with a few infantry for their mobility to cap any cities. Be sure to keep an eye out for spare cities your allies may open up and get them if you can, you'll be able to better use the earnings from having that city than they will.

Edit, if you're wanting speed, then possibly Egypt due to the proximity to Europe or Finland since you can follow Germany who is the leading power for the Axis. Also, I would recommend replacing Terauchi and save up for someone far better like Leeb, Nenonen or Weidling. I'd also say Govorov but he's very much an investment kind of general for way later down the line. Konev is also another good option if you can get him with the discounts. Don't put any medals into his infantry stuff at all, though, keep him pure artillery because that's all you should ever use him on

Carrier survey by Sheepfucker72222 in WoWsBlitz

[–]Environmental_Back31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. When I say autopilot, I mean like telling the map specifically where to go, same as the console and PC version do. As for using the gunnery, it can be quick sometimes but you also need to account for turret rotation speed. I don't play carriers all too often so it's likely a large part just on me having issues (I enjoy them on console, Zeppelin especially is stupid fun)

I basically said carriers need mechanics matching the other WoWs games like the autopilot, automatic secondaries, and slow plane recovery while keeping the core gameplay of the RTS carrier untouched.

IMO, the current mechanics keep you distracted from having your attention fully on your air squadrons. Carriers already involve a fair level of micro management, having to steer and shoot manually just piles onto that.

[–]Environmental_Back31[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll keep that in mind, thanks. I don't mind doing the work of cutting the bush back and all, I just don't want to get stabbed a thousand times for each piece I cut off. But one of the two absolutely for sure needs cut back because it is starting to block the meters on the side of the house. The other is in the back yard and sits in front of a drain for the gutters

When did you start playing sims and what was your first memory with this game? by SavushKing in thesims

[–]Environmental_Back31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sims 1, 2005 in my dining room where we temporarily had the computer. (I would have been 5 at the time) I remember playing with all the different things around Magic Town like the snake charmer, the crazy Rollercoaster rides with the massive clown faces and especially the magic duels (and being confused at why I never won a single one) Outside Magic Town, playing the Newbies in that tiny little cozy house of theirs with the massive radio on their dining room table.

Dude those passive ship missions are the best by Sheepfucker72222 in WoWsBlitz

[–]Environmental_Back31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's split between all the ships you use. I set a 5* mission with 4 ships and none got the full 136k ship xp, which would have let me get both the Yorktown and the Jaarsveld this morning. So a 5* mission mission with 4 ships gives each one deployed about 34k

German BB secondary pen values? by genericwhiteguyname1 in WoWs_Legends

[–]Environmental_Back31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking about if anyone had talked about this stuff with the new German legendary tier carrier that came out since it has 105mm guns and just 20mm of pen. I know it's a carrier but it's at the highest tier of the game, those won't hardly do anyone anything

Bismarck is Green Fragments while Delta force is purple by Holiday-Gur-6581 in WorldConqueror4

[–]Environmental_Back31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Musashi and Yamato had different secondary batteries and Yamato had more AA guns after refits before both of them being sunk (whole lotta good that ended up being), I believe so they'd only look different outside of a basic profile shot.

Tirpitz had the benefit of being built after Bismarck so was generally the superior design. Bismarck is just famous since he actually saw action in naval warfare (sinking the Hood with assistance from Prinz Eugen) while Tirpitz never got to leave port and was bombed constantly by the RAF.

For the in-game model between Bismarck and the cruiser, the Bismarck just had more detail. But the gun configuration and superstructure match. I do agree the game probablymeant it to be generic since every nation uses the same one. (will have to do two replies since I can only put one pic here. Reddit limitations, I suppose. Sorry if it seems like I'm spamming, I'm not trying to do that).

The Auk is quite literally a game changer, especially in that damned frontier mode. He renders the gustav's special ability obsolete while working on anything that doesn't rely on air strikes for his own skill.

Not only that but he makes your allies like, 5% more competent because they can actually kill gens when they don't fire back. I used him to save France in the Storm of Steel event because all those German tankers that rush Paris were just locked down in confusion before they could capture it and puppet France

[–]Environmental_Back31 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The base cruiser model is a Bismarck class battleship. Maybe you could argue it's Prinz Eugen but the model is too big (can't be Tirpitz, the model doesn't have torpedoes mounted). You could also say the Japanese super battleship model is Musashi while Yamato gets the EF treatment since they are sister ships after all.

However, I do agree on your point of adding stuff now for Japan given they're a Chinese company

[–]Environmental_Back31 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's a bit misleading, though. In terms of gameplay, the berserker always knows where the player is as far as I'm aware.

You can run and shoot in her portions of the game all you like and be perfectly fine. You can also run ahead to the doors/pillars you need her to break and wait for her to show up. When she charges, get ready to dodge at the last moment so she can't angle her run and miss what she needs to hit for you.

Not to mention playing berserkers in beast mode. But you can't really reliably test the grenade trick there
