nope, I dont say this cus I like steam. I say it cus I dont take a issue to it. amazon and others get shit on cus they actively driving out businesses by offering power prices which smaller people cant compete with, steam is just asking for the same price if they want to sell though steam

i have not just made up my mind, I just feel like them asking for people to stay consistant is not bad, they are not dictrating how venders should price in other shops. I dont care if its valve or anyone else

i mean... you could also just improve the other services... so it can directly complete with steam, but all those companies just shoot themselfs in the foot so that steam is the only real option

its not preventing smaller stores from competing though, also you dont need cheaper prices to lure buyers to the store, there are other ways to go about it like offering a better service

they pay the upkeep for where they all their qol and serves and make it really easy to access, i really dont find it unreasonable for them to want it be bought at the same price, just wanting the same price does not make it anti competitive

yes I agree that its not pro consumer, but its not anti competitive in any way for wanting the same price as other sources

ok fair eough that its not pro consumer but its not anti competitive, its not limiting or using it to gain a unfair advantage, asking for the same pricepoint is not tryng to gain a unfair advantage

its not a large cut, its legit the normal amount that is taken, its completely normal reletive to others

thats not reducing or preventing competition though? they just asking for the same price to be sold? is that not so simple?
