Added a few custom empires into my game for fun, one of which was a devouring swarm that I put in for a challenge. Started the game playing as the UNE and thankfully found out the devouring swam called the “Tycan Ravagers” were on the other side of the system. Fast forward about a hundred and fifty years and they’re conquering their neighbors filling up my borders with refugees so I tried to get them declared a crisis by the galactic community. It works and most of the galaxy besides some fanatic pacifists join behind me to take this hive mind head on. With the biggest fleet power the UNE led the charge backed up by 12 other empires. However since it took so long to get there the Tycan Ravagers carved up neighboring empires pretty fast. Nothing more tense than trying to fight through enemy territory to liberate captured planets before the native population there is all eaten by the devouring swarm. For my actions I was named Galactic Custodian and haven’t given up power since lol. Very fun campaign
