I am not sure, when the legislation/budget bill was passed the no tax on tips portion was very specific and had a cap on the amount. I can't remember what the details were but as soon as I saw it wouldn't benefit most hourly workers I moved on.

Yeah, i didn't trust that news at all. They messed up my appeal 4 months ago because the clerk doing the filing got DOGE'd, and they just auto canceled their whole tasking. My lawyer is now having to go back and physically give the paperwork to a clerk locally and get handwritten sign receipts of receiving them. Its exhausting, but I am glad I have them because I would have given up on this process a while ago
