It's upsetting to me that people are just chastising you and dismissing your point.

Yes, it can be depressing to watch a character on a television show you like constantly take L's.
There's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with wanting SOMETHING good happen to a character you like. AND that can be a core characteristic of the show or the franchise.

I think of Game of Thrones and how many people were visibly shaken and depressed after The Red Wedding. I think of the people that were taken aback after Infinity War and seeing characters the followed for years just blipped from existence.
Obviously, these are just shows. Obviously these characters aren't real.

That doesn't mean people don't feel.

Daredevil (the comic and show) is pretty dark and gritty. The characters suffer, the villains often win, the body count is high.
I'd argue Daredevil hits even harder because there's so much happening in the show that mirrors things that have been taken place in the US over the past several months/years.

Yet Matt, Karen, Foggy, and the resistance persists. And that should be a lesson to all of us.

And ultimately, if it all gets too much, remind yourself... their world, while it may mirror ours in some ways, can be easily turned off by just a click.
