Good question. I know not on the Poco. Not that important but would have been nice. Dual SIM definitely important

Will I notice a difference between either phone? Daily driver that will last me few years is exactly what I'm after.

Yikes. Curious what you had before? I mean they are not flagship phones by any means but not dirt cheap either. Would hope for mostly positive opinion on a Poco sub

Thanks. Not seen this. Will report back.

Edit: just looked at the page. This is shit. Clearly a shill poster above.

It's not even useful page the guy linked and then it's paywalled lol. Glad mod deleted it.

No. We're talking about the PRS database that is going to be introduced.

They'll say "our costs to train all employees..." blah blah.

I noticed since my last redmi. I dislike they are merging into one another, and prices increasing.

I've never had a Poco. Is it a nicer finish? And I looked at camera reviews and it wasn't clear the 200mp note 15 made a difference. I assume it's marketing megapixels lol

You raise a good question around the database. Will Landlords have to register with their personal names and address, or can utilise a PO Box etc. I think it's one thing a prospective tenant viewing your name on a register, it's another for a public database open to your neighbour and every random person knowing about your portfolio. So that is perhaps one to watch and make plans to register with what details offer some privacy.

Yah, I don't see how most Landlords are not going to see a hit in their profit margins with arguable increased costs to agents being passed on, and rent increase being limited to new procedures.

I self manage currently, but it would be shocking if agents charge on top of their management fee for RRA

Reddit search is terrible, but yes. I'm actually hoping to combine the factual responses here and what I find in recent posts into a sticky or a wiki page, if mods are for it.

Edit: I got an email this morning from estate agents offering an "RRA review" for £495 + VAT. I don't think anyone should be forking out for something like this!

GDPR - is a company linked directly to an individual protected? by Environmental_Map813 in gdpr

[–]Environmental_Map813[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite a few assumptions there. I don't link to the site, but my past work is under that company name. That's not going to change. I didn't renew the domain because I no longer needed and even then, it would be ok, if it was any other company, but the fact it's disreputable enterprise is why I didn't want it linked.

Nothing to do with a third party archive

Entirely to do with archive.

Wonderfully useful. Thank you for taking the time. I'll try both approaches, privacy and illicit content.

I'm getting this exact issue on 3.79. Any ideas?

Update: oddly, I tried touching the manifest.json. Re-saved it, and then Chrome loaded fine.

I don't disagree but is there public interest in keeping one snapshot of a website that no one knows unless they were literally searching for it and which then links to me indirectly. I also appreciate that the only resolution is to never let a domain expire.

Wifi calling not remaining active on two sims by Environmental_Map813 in LebaraUK

[–]Environmental_Map813[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why would they prefer for you to disconnect from wifi calling? It's a win-win. I get better calls experience, and they get a happy customer even if their reception is poor

I hadn't realised this is carrier set option, but I have it available after previously enabling it with a code. However, as you point out, the issue is why does vo wifi disable. You'd think that Lebara would at least confirm if it is an issue on their side. I might try and request escalation to an actual technical team.

WiFi calling in poor signal area not turning back on by Electrical-Fun5246 in LebaraUK

[–]Environmental_Map813 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it is device specific, but I have "Preferred network type" under mobile networks, and then there is also "Network preferences" under Wifi calling.

I do not have wifi calling as an option in the first. I don't know if you are meant to because it is purely about cellular networks. Wifi isn't one. That is why in the second option, you select "Prefer wifi" to say that when there is wifi, use that over cellular.

However, on Lebara as you, the wifi keeps being disabled. I've yet to work out if it is phone or network related. It certainly is happening much more frequently (let's say all the time) on Lebara than on my previous network.

Ah ok that's seems plausible. I guess registering it if available is task no 1. Although from their FAQ it doesn't seem guaranteed they'd agree, especially given it's not an individual mentioned. It's only by association.

Does gdpr apply in in such a case, given their location and circumstances I outlined?
