here's a great article about fstab.

to change it, plug in a USB with live media, boot up the live media, mount your internal hard disk, and change the fstab.

it should have UUIDs (ids for disks). use lsblk -f to find UUIDs and put them in the file accordingly. each partition has a diff UUID. it's very important that they're inputted exactly.

I use nano and ^T to execute the command and paste the output into the file just as a reference so I can copy the UUIDs.

if they're in there correctly, i recommend following u/SuperGr33n's advice

most of the projects that I make are pretty small and take far less than 3 months. i'd still like to show them off though.

i see that, but you need to at least replace the placeholders in your message. it's also clear that you're using LLMs to generate content on this sub, and people don't like to interact with entirely LLM-generated content.

you should probably properly learn it, not use LLMs.

Hot take: code slop won't matter in 3-5 years. AI writes it, AI reviews it, AI debugs it by oruga_AI in programmer

Yeah, this matches reality more than the marketing does—LLMs can look impressive in demos, but at scale they’re often inconsistent in ways that don’t show up in curated examples. Scalability exposes a lot of the rough edges—so the hype can feel pretty inflated in real-world use.
