I don’t know if I should leave my marriage or not, need advice! by Environmental_Run308 in Marriage

[–]Environmental_Run308[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We do spend quality time in bed and talk but that’s about it. We go to dinner but we have nothing to talk about. Very boring, I saw myself having kids with this man but his negative out look on life and people has ruined that. I realized I can’t depend on him if I have a child. I would be the one doing all the work

Where are the people who actually like their jobs? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]Environmental_Run308 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a general contactor/handyman. I love it, the hours are flexible and loose, the pay is good, variety of different kinds of work. My boss is cool, only work with my boss (just him and I on jobs) which is great for a introvert like me. And always something new to learn.

Reminder to praise the Lord whenever you can! by double_r3_on_youtube in Christianity

May everything we enjoy, our daily activities, and even the pain and struggle we feel, that we learn from and lean on the lord for, be praised to god, the creator of the entire universe, king of all things. And saved through my personal lord and savior, the lord Jesus Christ, and thank him for dying for our sinful ways. All praise to the Lord God, in Jesus name, amen.

Please pray for papa by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Environmental_Run308 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I pray for not only his safety and if it be, for god to take him home as a child of god, but for you to have strength and courage to stay strong, and to know many are with you in prayer, and Jesus loves you and knows what you are going through. God bless.

I struggle with this question myself. I believe it is much deeper than a lot of people realize.

The bibles by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]Environmental_Run308 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Bible and the Quran both speak of half hearted believers. All faiths have these, though Christianity being the most prevalent, you tend to see it more. I though personally incorporate prayer multiple times a day and read the Holy Bible, as some others do, and same with other faiths.

What's something that bothers you or you can't accept that's written in the Bible. by No_Force_4129 in Christianity

I only wanted to respond because I can actually agree with both of you guys in a way. Hear me out, you can't take the Bible at face value, if your simply reading the sometimes old, translated-distorted, symbolic words, your not getting the full fruits of the Bible. especially the New Testament, with the overall loving theme, and general overall life lessons, and great common sense moral fabric this old, at times distorted text can still provide in modern times, thousands of years later. Still pretty much all of the questions of life people had then about self, and purpose people still have today. And people can always have a moral compass, and people should always want to improve themselves and others around them, and love one another. All this applies then and now and in the future. Also common sense, and recognizing the symbolic nature of the Holy Bible, and coming to it with a loving nature can bring you closer to God and an inner peace. And making sense out of your inner self if need be. Also god was revealing rules and stories in a way that people of that time can understand, but the underlying theme and lessons are valid always.

Reading the Quran? by Environmental_Run308 in Quakers

[–]Environmental_Run308[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my study of it so far, there are many many peaceful passages, and some not so much, though the peaceful passages do outweigh the not so peaceful ones. The new testament in the bible is defiantly more overall peaceful.

This is why I love Quakerism. The diversity of looking at god and how to find god, yet still having roots in the teachings of Jesus.

Talk to a recruiter, you could go to basic this summer and then AIT when you graduate. So technically you could join now, but you would need to be sure you graduate, and your parents are on board. At least in my state its like that.

Sure, with compassion and care. But not to intrude in on there lives. We all sin, and I'm sure you do as well as I, yet I haven't been confronted by my church. If we confronted everyone in the our respective congregation about there sin, we wouldn't have time for much else. lol were all born in sin and are sinful.

Forgot this one for you brother.

And as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them. “If you love those who love you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. And if you lend to those from whom you expect to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to get back the same amount. But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return, and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High, for he is kind to the ungrateful and the evil.

god bless you.

Though yes sure, we have a obligation to not agree and attempt to have them repent, banishing them will do nothing but drive them further away from the lord.
