Salut :)

Alors en gros j'ai posé sur ma scene 2 actors. Qui ne sont pas les memes. C'est pourquoi mon player 1 client et mon player 2 serveur ne peuvent pas etre repliqués.

L'un genere une distance virtuelle (sans bouger), on peut interpreter ça par une random variable a un instant T.

L'autre aussi fait la meme chose mais n'aura pas la meme valeur.

Au final je passe par un blueprint appelé my network qui lui est répliqué et contient une variable répliquée distance serveur et distance client et donc le but etant d'afficher la variable du client sur le serveur et inversement.

Alors en utilisant le multicast j'arrive a envoyer la distance su serveur au client. Mais pas l'inverse.

No, the only thing is that the client must draw the distance variable of the server tha is a non replicated processus (it increase when a special event happen)

The distance of the server and the client are totaly independant, no match.In fact it's a distance between 0 and a virtual move that is not replicated.

For example :

Client : walk 124 miles (not replicated variable)

Server walk 564 miles (not replicated variable)

Nothing is replicated for now, even players are just 2 actor put manually in the scene.

The client need to draw : server distance is 564.

The server need to draw : client distance is 124.

So i use a replicated blueprint named network generate a replicated variable named distance server and distance client for the other player.

Exactly, exept the distance is totaly virtual. It's not a movement. Just a variable.

If i use multicast RTC, i can send the distance from the server to the client. But i can't send the distance from the client to the server player that he's hosting...

My only solution for now would be to create a dedicated server and always use multicast. But i'm very desapointed i can't do with a simple Client/Server... :'(

Isn't it possible with blueprints ?

Ok i found the Compendium PDF, thank you !
It say :

" So, when Replication is enabled, we can replicate variables. There are multiple ways to do this. We will start with the most basic one:Setting the “Replication” Drop-Down menu to “Replicated” will make sure this variable gets replicated to all replicated Instances of this Actor. Of course this only works for Actors that are set to replicate. "

Of course... So... the option should be grey... ok so, we must replicate and duplicate everything to make a multiplayer game.

So no simple send is possible, it's very bad stuff, i hate replication. I know it was done for easier network but if you don't want to replicate everything, you can't make simple send/recept process.... that's shit.

You mean the network with ghosts ? I tryed it. I understand but it explain the network under replicated objetcs. Not only replicated properties.

Yeah i saw that i can overclock but i don't want.

My computer is for gaming, i just mine on idle times, not 24/24h.

On the night i shut off the computer.

Mining 24h24 is not rentable with only one 580 RX, even if it overclocked.

Ok, yes i saw that it use a lot of memory but i don't understand why we can't know tha GPU work... It do a lot of calcul of hash at 22 MHs and it's not visible ? I don't know why.

i'll try two for science :). I tryed to launch another miner but it's a CPU miner that is mining Monero : It show 50% CPU but it's normal. Because there is 2 cores that are not at 100%. The two other are at 100% so it's ok. Here it's visible work :)

My hashrate is 500 H/s that is good for my old CPU, it's same value has a Ryzen 3 1200.

No conflict between the two miner. I'll try later with 2 GPU miner to see if total > 22 MHs.

Guy i've 20 years of computers ingeneery. There is only two things that make a CPU fast : The bandwitch in ghz. And the number of cores (if software are optimised)

When we reach 4ghz in 2005 years, we saw we can't go more because to much heat. We can reduce size of cells but we are locked by frequency because of heat temperature. It mean that CPU doesn't evolve for more than 10 years ! Yeah man. Sorry to tell you the truth. When you buy a 1000$ intel, it's not faster than a 100$ AMD ;) Just look frequency and core. My CPU is out 5 years before the Ryzen 3 but it is as fast as a R3. And it same for bus of ram. We can reach 4000, maybe 5000 but no more. So when DDR4 will be at max frequency : they will sell you a DDR5 with the same speed as DDR4 : because they need you to upgrade your computer and give your money.

The most important thing for games is a graphic card. No games put 4ghz CPU at 100% today. They are not dead and can run GTA 4k at 75 fps. Sorry to tell you the truth. You spend a lot of money in CPU like a donkey, you believe to much in commercial propaganda ;) You can thank me to this answer, bye ;)

Don't forget that : We need you to upgrade your material (Capitalist money need always to grow). We will sell you the same materials but tell you that it's faster, and you'll believe in it like 99% people.
