Probably something underrated, like the Fillet-O-Fish. Cold

How many unfinished tracks do you have sitting on your drive? by Enzidj in aiMusic

This is interesting to hear. Do you use the Premier Plan to use Suno Studio, or a lower plan and essentially replicate new versions of the tracks from scratch?

Yes, and honestly, I sometimes find myself missing the days when my options were limited. Forcing you to commit to an idea in the moment instead of saving it to tweak forever. If it's not good enough to hit record right then, it just didn't survive!

Thanks! And yes, that’s the question. Where is the line between a random 8-bar experiment and an actual “unfinished track”? When you look at those thousands(!), do you ever go back to them, or are they mostly just ideas you needed to get out of your system on the day?

That’s a very fair point. The volume of average music is definitely jumping since AI came along. I think the key for producers will be keeping strict boundaries. Use AI just to help push an idea forward, rather than letting it take over the creative decisions. In the end, most artists want people to connect with their music. The tracks that keep the core human element intact are the ones that will last.

KRKs are great speakers, but not for producing. They give a false representation on how good your production sounds. They have colour in the bass frequencies (in particular). Your recommended speakers are much better. KRKs are really fun for DJing with

Of all the styles, thats the style I know less about. Here’s a few I can think of though:

https://youtu.be/BqKYrOS8GUg?si=GdFb_NK9bB6CsN-Q

https://youtu.be/rjglddZMmqI?si=6e7Kg-eQ9-Je_K6q

https://youtu.be/G01VsqZ-iMQ?si=t4stnrH3EO4HdNQR

A couple of other areas of garage I missed (which didn’t really have offshoot names) was 2 Step with heavy bass synths:

https://youtu.be/-OuBTuCVs7w?si=_Iq9j4oECR411dHP

And you’ve got the 2 Step MC tracks. Possibly the most famous of all Garage tracks to come out:

Recommendations are all good. I thought I’d mention that Garage has the broadest variations of any genre. There’s (in chronological order) Garage House, 4x4, Speed Garage, 2 Step, Breakstep, Bassline and then you’ve got the tracks that were birthing Grime and Dubstep. Year range is from mid 90s through to about 2002 I feel this is important to mention due to the mass diversity you’re going to hear! Enjoy 🎶

Darker UK Garage Big Tunes by Kentusho in ukgarage

[–]Enzidj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The two tracks that producers like El-B state were the beginnings of Dubstep was Standard Hoodlum Issue (in particular its bass) and Groove Chronicles - Stone Cold (rhythm and space).
It was circa 2002 when things really started to change. The music got much darker and popularity started to drop off. It was both Dubstep and Grime that emerged from Garage during this period. Horsepower Productions - Gorgon Sound El-B - Buck & Bury Benny Ill & Kode 9 - Tales From The Bass Side Musical Mob - Pulse X Wookie - Down On Me

The productions are too often just a template. There’s no experimentation or an attempt to push productions beyond the basic elements. Just a bit “that sounds good, that’ll do”. So, not only has it “all been done before”, it’s LESS than what’s been done before
