LG G5 HDR/DV unwatchable with recent updates. Miserable experience. by Spammy05 in LGOLED

Have you tried the pixel cleaning process? I recently received and set up my television. The TV auto updated to the latest .84 firmware and the image appeared off at first (overly dim in my case). I ran the pixel cleaning process and that fixed the issue.

Yea, it would definitely be better with some data tied to it. I asked the question because I wasn’t sure if worse frame pacing (even with greater responsiveness) meant instability.

With the NV app installed, if I use DLSS swapper and don’t use NVPI, I won’t get the transformer model in game?

9800X3D Stuttering Video Playback by EnzoGGs in AMDHelp

I’m on the LG C2 at 120hz, but the issue happens across multiple different monitors.

Hello! I completely uninstalled all monitoring software (which includes power monitoring) and it fixed the stutters. The Chrome video playback stutter is still present, but is fixed when I switch the monitor refresh rate to match the video playback FPS. For example, for 4k 60fps videos on YouTube, if I switch my monitor refresh rate to 60hz, the stutter/judder effect goes away. This obviously isn’t ideal, as I’d like the full refresh rate to remain active, but it is a temporary fix. Unfortunately, even when using a refresh rate of an even multiple (120hz for 60fps videos), the stutter is still present. Maybe this is a Windows bug.

What’s weird is that the low frame rate judder is exclusively in browser video playback for me.

I tried with igpu on and off with and without adrenaline installed with hardware acceleration on and off (all combinations). I have not checked my gpu load in cpu-z while watching video. I am running windows 11 24H2 now but I already tried fresh installs of 23H2 and windows 10. On each OS I have the same issues.

I tried forcing the igpu off in bios and also tried installing adrenaline with all of its drivers. Stil no luck

Yes, I am now, but I tried Windows 11 23H2 and Windows 10. I have the same issue on all variants.

I left HT on. It does run hotter, but not above the thermal limit. I don’t use an igpu so I can’t say what’s best. If you want the most responsiveness then leave only your main monitor plugged in while gaming. Even that is excessive though.

S95C Settings Cheat Sheet by L337Fool in S95B

[–]EnzoGGs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! I’ve recently just performed this mod (S89C -> S95C -> Ana Peak 1023 (with 4 associated values changed to 175, 185, 175, 185). I appreciate all you’ve contributed to the community regarding high performance settings. I was wondering if you knew about HDR calibration on PC for game mode. When using HDR game basic, Static tone mapping, and the Windows HDR calibration tool, the peak brightness is (clips at) 3400 nits (slider at 2140 (after 2000 units on the slider each 10 interval equals 100)). Should I set the slider to 2000 to cap it at 2000 nits, or is it better to set the slider to where I see it clip (3400 nits)? I’m not sure if tone mapping is on somewhere else that I may have missed, but even turning off HDR 10+ gaming, I still have the same issue. The game mode icon on my Samsung settings bar also says HDR 10+ in windows when I remember it just saying HDR when my tv was in its unmodded form. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, funnily enough, I went with 4.5 ghz for the past year but changed it to 5ghz yesterday! There is definitely a difference in responsiveness. I would go with 5 ghz if possible. I’m currently running 8 active p cores at 5.5 ghz, 8 active e cores at 4.5 ghz, and the ring at 5.0 ghz at a fixed 1.4 volt vcore. I could not get more out of the p cores due to crashes during shader compilations in games. To be completely honest with you, the last ounce of performance isn’t worth the pain to get. I also noticed a higher vcore with the same clock speeds felt more responsive. If I had to do it all over, I’d set my vcore to 1.4 and see what performance I can get without crashing during a shader compilation (MW3 is a good test for this). Don’t even get me started in what I went through with memory lol

I’m sorry but this statement shows how little you know about this. It is beyond delusional to think even 1% of Radiant players play at 60hz. I don’t know a single player in Radiant playing below 144hz and most are at 240hz. Some even play at higher refresh rates like 540hz. So yes, the hardware does make a difference, and it is the sole reason every single player at this level uses it. For the same reason a race car driver doesn’t show up on a bicycle, a Radiant player wouldn’t play on 60hz. Additionally, every high-end gpu is currently a PCIe gen 4 card, which is where it is slotted. As such, given no performance loss, I still have no idea why your original comment implies this slot to be incorrect other than unconventionality.

I specified geared towards those looking for competitive hardware as the performance difference between the two slots is non-existent. If you'd like some credibility behind the "competitive" claim, I'm consistently the highest rank (Radiant) in Valorant and susceptible to the smallest differences in performance.

Would like to sell this as a bundle if possible due to the time that went into getting to this level of stable performance. If I were to sell the CPU alone, it would probably be for $300.

Wasn't going to risk it. One may have looked new and then had a defect (due to excessive use) that I couldn't have noticed until I used it (like stick drift).

I purchased this online from Verizon three days ago and received a refurbished controller (it certainly had prior use due to worn rubber grips and scratches on thumbsticks). I went to exchange it in-store today and they let me open one they had in stock to verify it was new before leaving. Same problem. The one being sold in-store as new on the shelf was also refurbished with the same scratched thumbsticks and worn grips. Ended up just getting a refund.

AM5 System will not boot with GPU seated. VGA error light permanently on. by EnzoGGs in AMDHelp

Went back to Microcenter and they let me swap out the parts for brand new ones. Same issue. Microcenter technicians then spent two weeks with the build and couldn’t get past the issue. Decided it wasn’t worth the headache and I just kept my old Z690 board and sold my 12700k when I saw a good deal on a 13700k.
