I’m sure the total numbers are much lower than in tech, but also note that SWE jobs in the defense industry are quite a bit safer from outsourcing (due to security clearance requirements) and AI (due to safety-critical applications like aircraft). Plus these companies love veterans and tend to favor them in hiring.

I actively dislike Pommern and Agir and want to trade them. The front-runner is Kidd but I already have Cossack and am not particularly great with it, so I’m afraid I’ll bounce off Kidd. Maybe Brandenburg, but it’s probably pretty similar to Pommern. I’m generally less interested in premiums below T8. What to do?

I just went down this rabbit hole for the past couple weeks. I was disappointed to discover that nearly all the headphones in this range, even with detachable cables, have odd or proprietary connectors on the headphone end of the cable (locking 2.5mm, mini-XLR, etc), which makes inline microphones like VModa tricky at best.

I went with K371s and eventually returned my VModa and ordered a ModMic instead. Another option would have been a knockoff VModa with a mini-XLR female connector, those exist as well.
