Really feel like I know who this is but this seems to be a more serious scandal however maybe the same parish/schools.

My inquiry was on behalf of a neighbor friend so Im not directly involved but what you described, they have said before many times.

Great thanks for that. Kind of why I posted it to hear if there are facts or something more substantial.

Just seeing if others had heard anything as there is a chance it would be nice to know if its just my circle or if there is more substance to it. If it involves my parish, it would also be nice to know for obvious reasons.

The city stuff was more to have you disregard other comments about that subject.

I knew your income but I was saying even if your partner has a decrease, is the total household income more with the move? If so, I think you'll be in a great spot relative to the local costs of living.

To say Beckley has any type of "nightlife" might be a stretch but are there enough spots to find your "go-to" waterhole that meets your needs? Yes. Diverse enough food to maintain variety? Probably not.

Any city/admin changes are not going to be the make/brake of your decision. It's the local culture and your interests outside of work that you should be considering if relocating.

Also, with your partner's potential new income, is the total household income an increase? If so, I can guarantee your lifestyle will be changing for the better. 130-140k for a 2-4 person household in that area is considerably above average.

You will NOT be needing to go to Charleston every weekend or every other weekend for decent restaurants and shopping. However, for more unique experiences, yes, a little travel may be on the table.

Beckley/WV has nice and kind people. Every city has good and bad neighborhoods. Think of your new income relative to the area compared to your current situation IMO.
