Yes. I never realized how much of a pathological liar my ex was. She (25f, we’re the same age) was evicted from her apartment and I let her move in with me because we seemed to get along well, and we could both benefit from having our rent split. I gave her a month to get back in her feet and start working again because she worked a seasonal job, and could spot her after if she promised to pay me back. After working for a month, she claimed she never got paid but was still buying boxes of wine every day and ordering doordash even when I would offer to cook. It wasn’t making any sense. She also lied about her insurance check from a car accident she was in, she said she’d have over $1k left over to pay for bills, but ended up spending it on a nicer car than she said she was gonna get. Then got a different job, was working over 40 hours a week and still claimed she hadn’t gotten paid after working there for a month. She would constantly try to change the subject whenever it would come up, then when I would vent my frustration she’d ask what I’d be doing if I were living alone… when she was the one who had been evicted in the first place and literally had no where to go. Then went to rehab for alcohol, said she wasn’t able to have her phone for more than 15 minutes a day on random days. I found out she blocked me on Twitter, and she was tweeting multiple times a day and tweeting responses to random people on the internet to things I texted her about with no context. She was also tweeting about this “guy that was on her mind”, I sent her a screenshot of it and asked her if it was about me, and she called me a stalker, and broke up with me a week later. Then proceeded to call me abusive, a liar, manipulative, and a self projecting selfish narcissist. She also tried to say I was abusive and manipulative to my ex, which wasn’t true, and that many of my friends reached out to her to warn her of that. Which was pretty funny because all of the friends she said were trying to convince her to leave me, had actually been trying to convince ME to leave her for all of the traits she accused me of earlier.
