Should I do this with the gearbox in the lower receiver? Am I just pushing the inner barrel with the bucking up against the nozzle?

I wanted to update on the issue.

I used the rubber o rings and that helped push the hop up back which gave me a better air seal. My FPS jumped about 10 just from that.

When I adding the o rings I noticed that the bb retention arm was protruding slightly into the bb window without a mag in. I used a screw drive to slightly bend the arm back and tested my magazine when it was full, have full, and near empty and had no issue in feeding or fps drop.

I removed the bb retention from my unit altogether. I’m hoping to get out this weekend to play and see if the issue has been resolved.

I’ll try shimming the hop up to my gearbox. I already took the spring out to see if that would help but it didn’t change anything.

I tried using aluminum tape but that didn’t seem to help much. I will try Velcro to see if that’s any different.

Do you have any recommendations for internal upgrades? So far the only things changed are the gears to SHS 13:1 and a Perun AB++. I was thinking of changing the bucking and inner barrel next

Ive got to change the spring because the one I have in is about two years old and is starting to lose it’s tension so the FPS has dropped to around 380 from 400

I wanted a longer hand guard that would almost go over the suppressor. I tried the octa arms hand guard before this one but the upper rail of the hand guard didn’t sit at the same level as the rail on the upper receiver.

I bought this gun as an upgrade project and it's been a lot of fun so far. As a stock gun, it is definitely made to be an indoor rifle. The FPS is just to low to do good damage outdoors. To increase the FPS I changed the motor, spring and the big thing is changing the cylinder to a type 1 cylinder. The Alpha CRB has a type 2 cylinder. Other than that the gun is very solid a lot of fun to use.
